Gavan Guilfoyle - Marathon du Medoc 6^th September 2008 

 Having given up smoking at the beginning of 2007, and a determined training routine throughout 2007, and completing the Luxembourg Half-Marathon earlier this year, Gavan "Marvellous" Guilfoyle will compete in the Marathon du Medoc on Saturday 6th September in order to raise funds for Dragons for Breakfast and the street children of Colombia.

The Marathon du Medoc (also know as the longest Marathon in the world) is run in one single loop,  winding it's way round a stunningly beautiful circuit of over 50 chateaux.  So you can imagine the thought of running in this region appealed to young Gavan.

Following the fantastic support for Nigel Rouse when he completed the Route du Vin half marathon in September last year, we would like to encourage you to show equally generous support for Gavan as he embarks on this epic effort.
